Sunshine Village is located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. The resort is at 2,160m and is reached by the world’s fastest gondola from the car park. Together with Banff and Lake Louise, Sunshine Village is covered by the Banff Tri-Resort lift pass. Sunshine Village is famous for having the longest ski season in the region, running from November until May which means you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery for longer! Sunshine Village - Ski

The 3 peaks of Sunshine Village with 107 runs spread over more than 3,300 acres offers skiing for all levels. Beginners can practise by the base station and on wide gentle slopes, while intermediate skiers have the run of almost half the slopes. The skiing on Sunshine’s peaks is bowl-skiing, but lower down the slopes you can find lots of tree-lined runs. For more advanced skiers there is Goat’s Eye Mountain which boasts a vertical drop of 600metres. Sunshine Village - Town

Sunshine Village has the only ski-in ski-out hotel in the area which is great for those people who want to make the most of their time on the slopes. The resort also offers a wide range of restaurants and for people who want some livelier après-ski entertainment then Banff is only 8km away. There is a shuttle bus that runs between the resorts so all the bars and restaurants in Banff are easily accessible.

Activities

There are plenty of activites on offer if you want a break from skiing, including ice-climbing, heli-skiing, ice-skating, dog sledding, ice-fishing and sleigh rides. It is also possible to take a tour of the national park.
